Marjolijn van Oordt
Marjolijn van Oordt is a Global Expert in the field of business diplomacy, crisis readiness, stakeholder and media engagement. Builder of bridges and long lasting networks. Highly skilled in de-escalation during crisis situations and building rapport with complex stakeholder environments.
Currently, van Oordt is also a guest lecturer on ‘Crisis Readiness’ at INSEAD (Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires) as she has gained experiences in the field of negotiations, prevention of crises and developing strategies for external affairs. She is also a member of the board for the Stichting Steun Grachtenfestival. Van Oordt has previously held the position of founder and managing director of Capita, a consultancy firm serving multiple NGO’s, Multinationals and public institutions. She also held the position of Vice-Chair of the board for Veronica Association. Furthermore, Marjolijn van Oordt is a certified mediator and an INSEAD Certified Member of the Board.
Striving for open societies and freedom of speech has always been a guiding principle for van Oordt. Through transparency, dialogue and stakeholder diplomacy, she wishes to contribute to the work of NHC.
Van Oordt, has a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and a Master’s degree in History from the University of Amsterdam. She also achieved a Postgraduate Education degree in Journalism from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
