NHC at Night of Dictatorship 2017
On Friday September 8 the Night of Dictatorship (‘Nacht van de Dicatuur’) will be held in The Hague, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. The Netherlands Helsinki Committee, together with Amnesty International, organises a tour during this event. Activists from Baku, Moscow and Crimea will tell their personal stories about democratic resistance in Azerbaijan, Russia and Ukraine in Museum de Gevangenispoort. The tour starts at 20:15, 21:15 and 22:15 and is approximately 45 minutes long.

In Museum de Gevangenispoort the history of seven centuries of criminal law is told. The museum aims to connect this history with contemporary debates and issues surrounding criminal law and the rule of law.
