NHC signs on to the Civic Charter

The NHC is pleased to announce that it has officially signed on to the Civic Charter – The Global Framework for People’s Participation. The two-page document outlines a set of basic civic and political rights, and serves as a reference point for human rights advocates and those who wish to assert their rights.
As disadvantaged peoples and activists around the world face continued governmental pressure and threats, the NHC is honoured to stand in solidarity with participating civil society organizations.
