Open Letter to Vera Jourova, Vice-President Values and Transparency EU Commission

An unprecedented budget of 1.5 billion euros has been allocated by the EU council and the European Parliament for the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme under the 2021-207 Multiannual financial framework.
The programme shall aim to support projects that foster European values at the local, national and transnational levels. In response to this welcomed move, CSO’s across Europe including the NHC have signed an open letter detailing not only their appreciation but also, drawing on their vast breadth of experience in the field, a number of suggestions for the European council to maximize the programmes accessibility and effectiveness.
