Burak Celebi

Burak joined the Netherlands Helsinki Committee in January 2022. Prior to this, he worked as a Youth Coordinator at a Non-Profit Organization that tackles modern slavery issues. Simultaneously, he was interning at an organization, which aims to empower international human rights defenders at risk. After he volunteered at a refugee camp in Greece in 2018, he also worked as a fundraiser for UNO, the German branch of the UNHCR, in 2019.

Burak holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Organizations, an honor’s degree in Tackling Global Challenges from Leiden University and a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from the University of Amsterdam. He is fluent in German, English, and Turkish.
