Marco holds an MA in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from the University of Utrecht. He followed courses in humanities at the University of Nagasaki, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Sarajevo University.

After graduating in 2011, Marco worked in the private sector in various positions and volunteered for several NGOs.
