Stop harassment of Russian NGOs

The Netherlands Helsinki Committee is one of the Dutch non-governmental organizations signing a statement of solidarity with Russian NGOs subject to large-scale inspections, often of an intimidatory nature, by government agents. The organizations condemn the crack-down on Russia’s NGO sector and will continue to call upon the policy makers in the Netherlands, the EU, and beyond to join in the efforts of local, regional, and global civil society organizations standing behind our counterparts in Russia, inciting the Russian government to engage in a dialogue with the human rights, environmental, social justice and LGBT movement in the country, and embrace the progression of free society.
